In honor of the Thanksgiving holiday, I have decided to post the official proclamation from George Washington in which he designates it a National Holiday. Take note it is written in old English so if you see an "f" where you think an "s" should be... you are not seeing things they just wrote like that back then.

A PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favour; and Whereas both Houfes of Congress have, by their joint committee, requefted me "to recommend to the people of the United States a DAY OF PUBLICK THANSGIVING and PRAYER, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to eftablifh a form of government for their safety and happiness:"

NOW THEREFORE, I do recommend and affign THURSDAY, the TWENTY-SIXTH DAY of NOVEMBER next, to be devoted by the people of thefe States to the fervice of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our fincere and humble thanksfor His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the fignal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpofitions of His providence in the courfe and conclufion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have fince enjoyed;-- for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to eftablish Conftitutions of government for our fafety and happinefs, and particularly the national one now lately instituted;-- for the civil and religious liberty with which we are bleffed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffufing useful knowledge;-- and, in general, for all the great and various favours which He has been pleafed to confer upon us.

Giving Thanks To Our Military

I texted just a little while ago and probably will send a few more out. I got a response immediately from an active duty soldier, Eric stationed at Balad Air Base in Iraq. Please send your messages of thanks and tell them what a great job they are doing.

Global Warming: Political Scam

I hate these idiots like Al Gore who are proclaiming this new "religion" of Global Warming. They always use this word "CONSENSUS", which means they voted on it...Science cannot be voted on! The planet has gone through many changes, in the last century the warmest years were at the beginning, so why are we worried that our Hummer and light bulbs are causing it...TAX $$$$$$ It is all about raising our taxes, which gives the politicians in Washington more power over us. Oh and it wont't end there, the United Nations will tax us again because we use so much energy being the evil Americans that we are. With the recent going "GREEN" of some networks many real weathermen are really getting ticked off.

The Founder of the Weather Channel, John Coleman recently came out and proclaimed Global Warming as the Biggest Scam in History. Here is the article and below it the link in which he lists tons of sources regarding Global Warming. I will aslo include the article from Newsweek from 1975 when the CONSENSUS of scientists believed we were heading into the next ice age.

It is the greatest scam in history. I am amazed, appalled and highly offended by it. Global Warming... It is a SCAM.

Some scientists with environmental and political motives manipulated long-term scientific data back in the late 1990's to create an illusion of rapid global warming. Other scientists of the same environmental wacko type jumped into the circle to support and broaden the "research" to further enhance the totally slanted, bogus global warming claims. Their friends in government steered huge research grants their way to keep the movement going. Soon they claimed to be a consensus.

Environmental extremists, notable politicians among them, then teamed up with movie, media and other liberal, environmentalist journalists to create this wild "scientific" scenario of the civilization threatening environmental consequences from Global Warming unless we adhere to their radical agenda.

Now their ridiculous manipulated science has been accepted as fact and become a cornerstone issue for CNN, CBS, NBC, the Democratic Political Party, the Governor of California, school teachers and, in many cases, well informed but very gullible environmental conscientious citizens. Only one reporter at ABC has been allowed to counter the Global Warming frenzy with one 15-minute documentary segment.

I do not oppose environmentalism. I do not oppose the political positions of either party.

However, Global Warming, i.e. Climate Change, is not about environmentalism or politics. It is not a religion. It is not something you "believe in." It is science, the science of meteorology. This is my field of life-long expertise. And I am telling you Global Warming is a nonevent, a manufactured crisis and a total scam. I say this knowing you probably won't believe me, a mere TV weatherman, challenging a Nobel Prize, Academy Award and Emmy Award winning former Vice President of United States. So be it.

I have read dozens of scientific papers. I have talked with numerous scientists. I have studied. I have thought about it. I know I am correct. There is no run away climate change. The impact of humans on climate is not catastrophic. Our planet is not in peril.

I am incensed by the incredible media glamour, the politically correct silliness and rude dismissal of counter arguments by the high priest of Global Warming.

In time, a decade or two, the outrageous scam will be obvious. As temperatures rise, polar ice cap melting, coastal flooding and super storm pattern will all fail to occur as predicted, and everyone will come to realize we have been duped.

The sky is not falling. And, natural cycles and drifts in climate are as much if not more responsible for any climate changes underway.

I strongly believe that the next twenty years are equally as likely to see a cooling trend as they are to see a warming trend.

Michelle Malkin has a great piece on her blog regarding a memo that was leaked about the Democratic Strategy. They are so funny, "Republicans have done a better job by developing poll data into focus group-tested messages like “culture of life” and “defending marriage,” along with attacks like “cut and run” and “plan for surrender” in Iraq, he argued." My comments are "Well DUH?". The Democrats are so naive, the don't believe Americans want to win the war and believe Global Warming is a bigger issue than the War on Terror. First Medal of Honor Given

Driving home today I heard that President Bush gave out the first Medal of Honor and I thought to myself it has to be for someone on Navy Seal Team 10 and sure enough it was. I just read the heroic story of this group written by its lone survivor Marcus Luttrell, suitably named, "Lone Survivor". The recipient of the Medal of Honor was Marcus' best friend Michael Murphy. He risked his life to radio in help and was shot numerous times in the process and still managed to say thank you to the person on the other end. Then he continued fighting even with all his battle wounds including gunshots to his head. He has now been honored with the military's highest honor. His parents are from Long Island, NY and must be very proud. The military has set up a web page and I also have attached the CNN article.

Police Prevent Terrorist Attack in Michigan

A claimed member of the Iranian supported group Hezbollah based in Lebanon, the group that has terrorized the Lebanese people for decades was arrested for a planned terrorist attack.

Federal authorities in Dearborn may have stopped a planned terrorist attack and mass murder before it happened. Police got a tip that a 26-year-old medical student was planning an attack, and when they stopped him in a Dearborn park, he had an AK-47 assault rifle and was dressed in black military style clothing. He also had black makeup on his face as he climbed into an SUV with the loaded weapon. The man was arrested and is facing several felony charges. Police say he has a website where he claims to be a member of the Lebanese militant group Hezbollah.

Anbar Province government dedicates success vs. Al Qaeda to 9/11 victims

RAMADI, Iraq - When members of the government of Anbar Province met with President Bush last week, they presented him with a letter dedicating their success in wiping out Al Qaeda here to the victims of Sept. 11

The letter, which was obtained by the Daily News, was signed by Anbar Governor Mamoun Sami Rashid, Provincial Council Chairman Abdul-Salam Abdullah, and Sheik Sattar abu Risha, the sheik credited with beginning the Anbar Awakening.

"In the month when the terrorists attacked the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center, we dedicate the victory of Anbar Province to the families of the victims who suffred that criminal act," the letter said, which was addressed directly to Bush.

"With the help of the president of the United States, we pledge to continue to cooperate and communicate with you to continue to get good results," the letter said.

Bush traveled to Anbar Province to highlight the dramatic decrease in violence there, just days ahead of the progress report that Gen. David Petraeus and Ambassador Ryan Crocker presented to Congress Monday.

This fatso won't give up...America has the best healthcare in the world and he knows it. He argues Cuba is the greatest a land where people are executed daily. Fidel tries to appease people by giving them free rice cookers, but doesn't do them any good because the have NO FOOD! Michael Moore brings people from the US to a EXCLUSIVE hospital that does not see average citizens of Cuba, only THE ELITE! I would also like to add... for a guy that distrusts the government so much and yells about how bad the government is...WHY ON EARTH would he want government run healthcare!
